How wonderful to read your long post this Suinday morning! I was planning to ask your Mom at church if she knew the reason for your long silence. Sounds like things are going well -- I'm glad you got a "vacation" (although it sounds like it was a continuation of work to me.) I am looking forward to your return to the states. I sure wish you'd come back to GA though! nudge, nudge.
Have a wonderful week. You are in my prayers many times a day! I love you and miss you.
left by: Joan

You might live in Africa if…

Good to hear from you again, Lisette. Thanks so much for the details. Did you by chance stay at the Titania? That is the hotel we stayed at, and we had a great view of the acropolis from there. The trip to the island sounds wonderful. You sound so amazingly self-sufficient. I would have been pretty uneasy doing all that touring alone. I'm glad you are safely back in Tenwek. We love you and miss you here in Georgia's Rome.
left by: Joan

Back in Nairobi

Good to hear. I wish I were there with you. I appreciate your letting us share the experience vicariously. I absolutely loved Athens and would like to have spent more than a day and a half there. Continue to stay alert and protect yourself. I want to hear about the Greek Island you visit. We didn't get to any Greek Islands - the only Mediterranean one we saw was Malta.
left by: Joan

Adeventures in Athens

Hey, Baby Girl, Happy Valentine's Day! I will continue to pray for you, of course -- and especially for safe travel. You will love Athens. I'd love to be there with you. It is one of the most interesting places we've ever visited.
